If you think about it, until recently, identity theft is a fraud that very few people had heard of and dare I say it, there is still a large percentage of the population, who don't understand, or even know of the pre-cautions and preventative measures they should be taking! To understand the seriousness of this crime. They will also use the deceased to steal their ID's
What is identity theft? Bluntly it means that your identity, such as your name and all your personal details are stolen and your private information is then used in a fraudulent and illegal manner to do things such as: enter your bank account and withdraw funds, apply for credit cards, store cards, and purchase a range of goods with credit in your name,  this is as well as using your credit card information . They can also use your details by targeting your family and people close to you. Ask yourself this: Would you give a stranger a blank cheque and the use of your credit card? That is what it would seem like if your identity got into the wrong hands!
In fact, if your identity gets stolen, an identity fraudster can do exactly  what you could do, except with a lot less care!
Below is a typical scenario of what exactly could happen, should you become a victim:
Imagine  receiving a summons from the law court, ( via a bailiff ) for a stack of motoring offences, such as speeding, unpaid parking offences or in one of the worse cases, a hit and run accident ! (as an example).
The icing on the cake would be the fact that the car used was bought with your name and credentials.
The above is a feasible example of what could happen, if your personal details are stolen. ID theft and fraud, can be avoided, if you keep your details as private as possible and realize the importance of avoiding your personal details been stolen!

So what can you do to prevent been a victim? of ID THEFT?
